Balgowlah King Living

This project established King Living’s flagship showroom in Balgowlah, replacing three existing sites with a completely new purpose-built facility. Working closely with the King brand team, the design expresses the company’s premium identity through high-quality joinery, refined materials, and a sophisticated layout. Despite significant infrastructure and authority constraints, the project delivers a landmark retail environment that exemplifies King Living’s commitment to design excellence.

Jacob Toyota

The project involved replacing a 16-year-old single-storey showroom with a larger showroom incorporating a dramatic two-storey void over the car display area and a dominating façade along the main road. The façade was enhanced by a new undercover service drop-off structure. Design alignment with the Toyota facility “START” manual was critical.

Middle Harbour Marine Rescue

Perched over Sydney’s Middle Harbour, this Marine Rescue facility responds to a picturesque environment with a curved feature facade and angular roof planes pitched over glazed highlights, flooding the interiors with indirect natural light and creating a striking harbourfront landmark from all directions. Challenges of building over water into sand were resolved without compromising the building’s impact.

Lexus Chatswood Showroom

This premium fit-out marked the first in the new Lexus rollout, setting a benchmark for future locations. The facility was extensively refurbished to embody Lexus’s updated brand principles, delivering a sophisticated, high-end environment that has elevated the customer experience and reflects the brand’s commitment to excellence. The client’s personal involvement added special features to the landmark dealership.

Moorebank McGrath

This 8,800 sqm warehouse and office facility in Moorebank was designed to optimise both functionality and presence. A detailed feasibility study considered multiple scenarios, including multi-occupancy layouts and façade options, to achieve a balance between operational efficiency and architectural impact. The design incorporates durable, high-quality materials and careful spatial planning to support warehouse operations while providing a professional office environment. Completed under a CDC, the project delivers a facility that meets client requirements and presents a strong visual identity within the industrial precinct.

JLR Bondi

This project delivered a high-end retail fit-out in Bondi Junction, establishing a boutique outlet with a memorable brand presence for Jaguar Landrover. The design and project management spanned the full process—from concept development through to final completion with multiple stakeholders.

Artarmon Porsche

This project involved refurbishing an existing service facility to align with Porsche’s updated brand image. The redesign focused on enhancing service functionality and the customer experience and included the addition of two levels to increase parking and workshop capacity, establishing the site as a premiere Porsche facility.

BMW North Shore

This project involved an internal fit-out of the BMW North Shore facility to align it with the brand’s modern luxury identity, enhancing both the customer experience and the overall showroom environment. The project was staged allowing the showroom to remain fully operational

Sydney Ferrari Maserati

The project involved the interior refurbishment of the existing Ferrari Maserati showroom in Alexandria, enhancing the space to reflect both brand’s premium identities and provide an uncompromised customer experience.

SDMGA office

This project involved the fit-out of Sime Darby Motors’ head office in Rydalmere, alongside the development of a new Volkswagen service facility, truck workshop, central parts warehouse, and pre-delivery centre. The design focused on creating a high-functioning environment that supports both administrative and operational activities.

Lexus Chatswood Service

The project transformed part of an older industrial building into a sophisticated Lexus Service Reception which compared closer to the aesthetic of a high-end hotel reception rather than a typical Service Reception. The design exceeded Lexus requirements, noting the client’s drive to achieve the best possible environment for their customers.

Albion Park Tynan

Several sites were combined, allowing the design of a large car showroom building incorporating 4 vehicle brands. A forecourt of display vehicles was located in front of the building, with a signage façade incorporated along the front and sides of the forecourt to define a strong street presence which could be seen from the nearby Highway.

Jacob Group offices Wodonga

Designed in conjunction with the Jacob Toyota showroom rebuild, the Jacob Group offices occupied a large area above the showroom and required a separate aesthetic to the Toyota business, creating a contemporary and independent workspace for the family run group company.

JLR Parramatta

This project involved a complete knock-down rebuild to deliver a new Jaguar Land Rover sales and service facility in Parramatta over an 18-month construction program. The design balances operational efficiency with a premium customer experience whilst maximising gross floor area. The facility reflects JLR’s corporate identity with high-quality finishes and an environment designed to enhance both staff and customer engagement.

North Melbourne Subaru

This high-quality fit-out represents a flagship milestone for Subaru, establishing a new benchmark for upcoming dealerships. The facility reflects Subaru’s latest brand direction, creating a contemporary environment that enhances the customer experience and reinforces the brand’s commitment to quality and reliability.

Jacuzzi Spa World

The Alexandria showroom was designed as an immersive, experience-driven environment where customers and specifiers can engage directly with the Jacuzzi Spa World range. The project was delivered efficiently within a tight timeframe and budget.

Adelaide King Living

This project expanded the existing King Living showroom in Adelaide through the integration of two neighbouring tenancies, delivering an entirely new showroom facility. Working closely with the King team, we developed a design featuring high-quality joinery, refined materials, and a new branded façade that reflects the company’s design ethos. The project was delivered in stages to allow the showroom to remain fully operational.

Toyota Corporate Architect

Centric Architects are engaged by Toyota Motor Corporation Australia to assist in the development of their national Facility Manual, START. Our services include Dealership building design, Site layout design, Materials & Finishes selections, production of rendered 3D imagery and Plans for the Manual and assistance with facility compliance requirements. We are also engaged regularly by TMCA to design new and refurbished Toyota Dealerships throughout Australia.

BMW Castle Hill

This project transformed an existing office/warehouse property into a state-of-the-art BMW facility in Castle Hill. The work encompassed the full spectrum of design and project management, from initial concept through to final completion, delivering a modern, functional, and high-quality outcome.

Cupra Smeaton Grange

The project involved the addition of a new 6-car Cupra showroom to an existing suspended forecourt slab previously used for parking, enabling the owner to capitalise on surplus site area.

Jaguar Land Rover Corporate Architect

Centric have supported JLRA as their corporate Architect since 2014 and have been involved in all of their facility designs. We support the JLRA network with practical and considered design responses whilst upholding the brand facility requirements

Volvo Brisbane

This project repurposed an existing commercial building into a fully compliant Volvo showroom and service centre. The conversion included structural modifications, a new façade, refined circulation planning and a complete interior rebuild to meet Volvo’s design standards.

King Living Corporate Architect

Centric have enjoyed a long-standing relationship with King Living. Working closely with their property team, we have assisted with the design and procurement of the Australian network as well as their expansion overseas into New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Singapore, the USA and Canada.

Lexus Corporate Architect

Centric Architects are engaged by Lexus to assist in development of their national corporate image manual to guide future construction and renovation works, ensuring each project reflects the brand’s identity in a cohesive and expressive way that enhances recognition and customer interaction.

Indooroopilly Automall

Collaborating with the principal Auto Mall designer, we delivered a high-end retail environment for Jaguar Land Rover, aligned with JLR’s corporate identity. The design combines refined materials, thoughtful spatial planning, and elevated finishes to create a sophisticated, functional showroom experience.

Albion Park Truck Workshop

Major alterations and additions to a large industrial shed to create a Truck Workshop. The shed was originally an open, roofed structure, so the proposal incorporated major structural strengthening.

Alexandria Bentley

This project transformed an existing two-storey office building into a striking new Alexandria Bentley showroom. The design removed half of the first-floor slab to create a dramatic double-height void, showcasing vehicles in a way that highlights the brand’s luxury and sophistication, while delivering an elevated customer experience.

Illawarra Toyota Albion Park

This project involved substantial alterations and additions to the existing Toyota showroom, enhancing both its functionality, capacity and customer experience. The design aligns with the current Toyota facility standards and incorporates an undercover Service drop-off area

Brisbane Waters Marine Rescue

This new base for one of Marine Rescue’s busiest waterways was designed in consultation with multiple stakeholders to create a functional command centre and training facility.

Opinion of Probable Cost

Centric Architects provides Opinion of Probable Cost services that align design decisions with budget goals from the earliest stages of a project, giving clients a understanding of anticipated construction costs. Other costing options can also be employed to suit client’s needs.

Staging

High level Staging services can be provided that strategically plan efficient construction phasing while allowing safe, partial occupation of ongoing business operations.

Feasibility study

Centric Architects are experienced in feasibility analysis where building functionality, opinions of costs, aesthetics, street impact, amenity and accommodation can be considered and different solutions compared. As an example, Centric Architects was engaged to undertake multiple feasibility studies for a new industrial facility, including varying facade aesthetic solutions. The brief was to provide a fit for purpose 8000sqm warehouse with a point of difference that can be approved under a CDC to a budget. Varying facade options are depicted below.
